Brief
Abduction as a word already tells the crime. The poster had to sell dread and unanswered questions, not the act. Adult thriller audience; digital-first with a print backup for festivals.
Concept
Absence is the concept: a space where a person should be, held by light and crop. We avoided bound-hands stock language. The viewer completes the threat. That is more honest than illustrating the plot.
Type and color
Cool grade, crushed blacks, title in a utilitarian sans that feels like a case file, not a horror carnival. Eyes stay the sharpest plane so 1080×1080 still has a subject when UI covers the edges.
What was hard
Thriller key art slides into torture-porn or cop-show templates. We kept the body language unfinished and the environment specific enough to be a place, not a void. Same lock across 27×40 and 16:9.
